CEA launches special events for National Electricity Month 2015
June 2, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur
June 2, 2015 – For the third year running, the Canadian Electricity Association (CEA) has designated June as National Electricity Month in Canada. CEA, in partnership with its corporate utility members, is celebrating the month with facility tours, activities, speeches, and special events across the country.
In addition, a new suite of electricity literacy tools are now available on www.powerforthefuture.ca, including a virtual open house that will offer Canadians the opportunity to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes to bring power to their homes and businesses.
National Electricity Month invites Canadians to learn more about the value that electricity brings to their everyday lives. By allowing consumers to see how the system works first-hand, CEA said it “hopes to foster a national conversation about the choices that need to be made today if Canada is to maintain a reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity grid in the years to come.”
